Hi – I’m Noor! I’m an international development practitioner, food and culture enthusiast and a perpetual daydreamer. I am from Bangladesh but grew up internationally living across half a dozen cities (including Dhaka, Seoul, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Moscow and Los Angeles) before settling in New York. Cooking, photographing and writing about the culture and cuisines I love are some of my biggest passions, what fills much of my free time, and what this space is primarily dedicated to. I enjoy creating new recipes that particularly reflect my Bangladeshi background and global upbringing, as well as recipes that represent my husband’s Sri Lankan roots. I host a monthly supper club in New York focused on these two cuisines in particular and love to showcase them at every opportunity through speaking engagements, collaborations and pop-ups. I am also a founder at Cue-rated, a company based in NYC that crafts unique events promoting South Asian art and culture, including culinary events.
